WP3 were appointed as MEP, AV, IT and Security design consultants, monitoring engineers and client’s Commissioning Managers (CxA) for Eastbrook Studios, London’s largest and most sustainable film and television production hub.

This landmark development has transformed a disused site in Dagenham into a world-class production campus spanning 22 acres and over 600,000 sq ft of stages, workshops, offices, and support spaces, including 12 purpose-built sound stages and a three-acre backlot.

Appointed to complete the previous consultant’s design, WP3 mobilised quickly to validate existing information and develop a fully coordinated solution. Working closely with the project and cost management teams, scope gaps were resolved and change was carefully managed to protect both budget and programme.

WP3 completed building services designs for the entire development including studios, specialist acoustic sound stages, support offices, workshops and plant rooms. Our design role continued through contractor’s design development moving to extensive on-site reporting.  Our unrivalled technical knowledge ensured Eastbrook received exceptional standards.

WP3 delivered the full Commissioning Management package, overseeing testing and witnessing across all MEP services, acoustic and air integrity testing, and site-wide integrated systems testing. Our role also extended to IT and AV, electronic security, energy consulting, site-wide utilities, and smart construction processes.

Through robust delivery methods and the use of WP3’s digital-twin platform, the project achieved BREEAM Excellent status and was delivered with clarity, efficiency, and technical rigour — setting a new benchmark for sustainable film and TV production in London.
