IWD Lunch & Learn with Overbury

Great to attend a Lunch & Learn hosted by Overbury this week, welcoming the inspiring team from Luminary Bakery ahead of International Women’s Day.

Luminary is a social enterprise that supports women who have experienced disadvantage or gender-based violence by using baking as a pathway to employability and entrepreneurship. Through hands-on baking programmes, cafe work experience, and paid roles within their bakery, they equip women with both practical skills and valuable transferable experience.

It was incredibly inspiring to hear from the Managing Director, Claire Hilton, about the organisation’s purpose and the impact they’re making within the local community – helping women build confidence, independence, and brighter futures.

A huge thank you to the Overbury team for hosting such a meaningful session and shining a spotlight on the work Luminary Bakery is doing to empower women.

We were also treated to some incredible freshly made food from the Luminary team – absolutely delicious!
