Multinational Banking Institution Solent

WP3 were appointed to deliver a comprehensive thermal modelling and energy analysis for the Solent Building on behalf of a Multinational Banking Institution, supporting the client’s ambition to improve building performance and reduce operational energy use.

The study focused on understanding how the existing façade and envelope were performing, identifying areas of heat loss and excessive solar gain, and establishing where targeted upgrades would deliver the greatest impact.

Working closely with façade specialists, WP3 developed a detailed thermal model and tested a range of upgrade scenarios to balance performance, practicality and value. Indoor air quality monitors were also installed to calibrate the model and pinpoint underperforming zones using real operational data.

This evidence-led approach identified a package of targeted interventions capable of delivering up to a 40% reduction in annual thermal energy use, providing clear guidance for the design team to take forward into the next stage.
