At WP3 Energy, our focus is to assist clients on their long-term path to carbon reduction and decarbonisation of their building stock, with a dedicated effort on existing buildings. We understand that in getting to a net-zero 2050, the majority of the UK building stock will have two full sets of equipment lifecycles. Keeping this in mind, we place detailed thermal and dynamic energy modelling at the forefront of our approach to ensure that all our projects are designed for performance, right the way from feasibility to detailed design. In every project we look to maximise synergies such as utilising any waste heat streams locally available, or boosting on-site renewable energy to compensate for adapted energy consumption from technology such as heat pumps.

Drawing expertise and experience from the larger WP3 team, we are experts in MEP package delivery management. We optimise projects by minimising the industry-known ‘performance gap’ between the design phase and the delivery phase. We can assist with programming and procurement and are industry leaders in smart building integration. Throughout this phase, we create ‘digital twins’ of the installation using detailed IES HVAC modelling software. This can be used to estimate the energy consumption at the most accurate method possible.

As co-authors of the BSRIA Soft Landings Guide for fitouts, we are experts in post occupancy evaluation and the fine tuning of systems to maximise occupier comfort. In addition to this, we utilise IES software and additional modelling to suggest methods of reducing energy consumption, focusing on low-cost, high-reward interventions. We perform air quality monitoring assessments which can be used to highlight areas of concern and opportunities to reduce wasted energy usage. We can offer digital asset tracking utilising augmented reality via our 360 scanning capabilities.
