WP3’s review was a worthwhile exercise that will prove fruitful and benefit the project
— Mark Longuehaye, Contracts Manager

WP3 conducted an extensive design and coordination peer review of all services and specialisms for this new residential and mixed use development.

Utilising our broad experience across all elements of design and our eye for detail, we completed a thorough review of the complete detailed Stage 4 design on behalf of our client in their role as mechanical contractor.

Through this review we established a number of areas that presented significant coordination, cost or programme risk, allowing the team to address each issue early in the process to minimise any impact. To further add value, we also proactively developed or suggested solutions wherever possible.

Our review encompassed many elements which interfaced with or were relevant to the mechanical services:

  • Architectural details and access

  • Façade and structural interfaces

  • Coordination with other services and controls

  • BREEAM requirements

  • Acoustics

  • Energy strategy, district heating and metering

  • Contractual obligations and commercial opportunities
