Limited by strict end-of-lease dates, WP3 were appointed to develop a robust set of employer’s requirements within a very short time frame. Utilising our extensive network of resource we were responsible for surveying and designing not just the technical services, but also the internal architecture including space planning of warehouse and office space.
The lack of existing information required a detailed initial survey. From this survey we produced drawings of existing room layouts and services plans reflecting areas significant to coordination.
With the objective of consolidating the client’s space and to enable them to achieve as much as possible within a limited budget, we were able to design the relocation of an existing mezzanine and re-use of existing services throughout. We looked at a number of layout options for new office space to determine the most efficient use of space, minimising the modifications to existing services to further stretch the budget.
In addition, WP3 also designed the proposed changes to the HVAC systems to ensure compatibility with the new location of the client supplied large scale printing facilities.
Working to an extremely tight deadline the drawings were fully produced within 14 days from appointment in full CAD format so that the client could organise pricing and schedules for the required construction works prior to the end of lease dealing.
