Reflections from FOOTPRINT+ 2026
Great attending FOOTPRINT+ last week and spending a few days immersed in conversations around sustainability, innovation, and the future of the built environment.
One topic that kept coming up was the construction industry generating around 60 million tonnes of waste every year in the UK. A huge challenge, but also a huge opportunity for change.
The most interesting discussions focused on how businesses can move beyond sustainability as a tick box exercise and start embedding it into the way projects are designed, delivered, and operated from day one.
From circular economy thinking and material reuse to smarter low carbon design, there’s a real shift happening across the sector.
Really valuable few days and looking forward to bringing some of those ideas and discussions back to the WP3 team.
