WP3 completed a suite of design and consultancy services for this major plant refurbishment at a major telecoms provider data centre in central London.

Starting with a critique of designs by other consultants, WP3 completed a detailed design for the replacement of main infrastructure at this critical data centre.

The design made consideration of the phasing of chiller replacements to ensure service was always maintained to the data centre with levels of redundancy. This incorporated temporary cooling arrangements and concurrent commissioning and monitoring works.

WP3 also coordinated and planned the logistical elements of plant delivery and movements - a challenge in this central London shared industrial site. Programming of works was extensive to ensure all preparatory works were complete and commissioning to align with just-in-time removal of existing and delivery of new chillers.

Validation and review of existing distribution was also conducted to provide the client with increased capacity options without extensive further replacement works, providing significant added value to the project.
